2017 Lifesaving Conference

Lifesaving Conference The 2017

Lifesaving Conference will be held on:

Saturday, 19 August 2017 Life Saving Victoria State Centre 200 The Boulevard, Port Melbourne VIC 3207

The Lifesaving Conference is held prior to the commencement of the season. The Conference provides clubs an opportunity to prepare for the upcoming season and exchange ideas and activities with their fellow lifesavers. All clubs should endeavour to have at least one participant attending each session/presentation.

The Conference also provides the opportunity for LSV to provide demonstrations of new resources that are available to clubs and for members to network with other club members from around the state.

Regional Workshops

The 2017 Regional Workshops will be held in the western, central and eastern areas of the state following the Lifesaving Conference on dates that are to be determined. The Workshops will provide clubs and members with relevant and practical skills and information, covering all areas of lifesaving. A simple outline, specific to the area, of the requirements of each club over the coming season will also be provided.

Suggested audience for these events

All members are invited to attend. However members who hold leadership positions within their club (for example, Presidents, Secretaries, Club Captains, Chief Instructors etc.) are particularly encouraged to attend.

To ensure the Conference and Regional Workshops will remain relevant and useful to all club members, suggestions on the content and format of the day are being invited. Please submit suggestions via -

Further information will be available closer to the date.
